This website is made possible by working together with a group of delicated code instructors in B.C. under the auspice of the Code Instructors Association of British Columbia (CIABC).
The association was formed by a group of code instructors who meet regularly to discuss common problems in dealing with electrical code issues and to ensure uniform presentation of electrical code courses for all their members.
The association tries to provide up-to-date information as available to those who are seeking information of the certification of electricians (TQ/IP) and field Safety Representatives (FSR) in the province of British Columbia.
The CIABC has liaison with the BC Safety Authority (BCSA), various educational institutes and is pleased to offer assistance to anyone seeking more information of the certification system in BC.
CIABC maintains a membership with CSA and is involving in various committees dealing with electrical code matters. Through its membership participation, the association is able to offer a valuable service to the electrical industry as well as providing an avenue to assist new electricians and contractors.
